"What Fools These Mortals Be is an inventive retelling of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream performed as a series of tableau vivantes (living pictures) by a group of 14 formerly incarcerated women."
Led by visual artist Adad Hannah, me and Shirley Yung designed, sewed, and thrifted all the pieces for this shoot. We put everything together over the course of three weeks in February of 2022. The project was showcased in September at the Fei and Milton Wong Experimental Theatre at SFU in Vancouver.
